The grounding plug is designed for direct installation in UK or European standard power outlets for ESD protection. It is a safe way to use grounding in an ESD protected area (EPA). The plug is mounted directly in a power outlet that is only connected to the ground conductor. It is made in one time with an insulating plastic mold. Its resistors provide a ground connection for wrist straps or other cables in the EPA.
