ESD Protection Area Required Anti-static Products
ESD Protection Area: An area where ESD-sensitive components can be handled with very low risk of ESD damage. Size is not limited, such as a workbench or factory.
Ground Ground: A large conductor, such as the earth, the steel frame of a building, or the hull of a ship, used as a return path for current and a forced zero-potential reference point.
EPA Grounding Equipment: A fixed object connected to the ground, AC power ground wire, or the steel frame of a building. It can be used to fix one or more grounding connection points.
EPA Grounding Connection Point: A fixed ground object used to connect EPA equipment, usually via a grounding cable or grounding wire.
Grounding Point: A connector such as a button, usually fixed to an anti-static mat or anti-static wrist strap, used to fix the grounding wire. Also called a groundable point.
