How to use the esd wrist strap tester
First, the application

Resistance value: It is not within the standard range or the battery is too low, it will automatically alarm, the red light will be on and the alarm will be accompanied; the low voltage display will automatically alarm when under voltage; the volume is small, the weight is light, the use is simple, and the detection is intuitive;
2. Ensure that each employee is safe;
3. Eliminate damage caused by static electricity.
Second, the method of use
1. Put a 9V dry battery in the battery compartment behind the tester.
2. Insert the grounding wire banana plug into the grounding wire socket at the upper end of the HAKKO-498 tester.
3. Tie the wristband to your wrist.
4. Connect the ground wire to the wrist strap.
5. Press the tester board by hand. At this time, the liquid crystal indicator lights up and you can hear a beep.
(1) If the green "GOOD" light is on, it indicates that the grounding system is good.
(2) If the red "LOW" light is on, check the resistance of the hand strap and the ground wire. When it is less than 800 kohms, this will have an impact on human safety.
(3) If the red “HIGH” light is on, check whether the hand strap is tightly fastened and check the grounding resistance of the hand strap to ensure that the hand strap is not loose.
Third, the precautions when using
1. The connection between the electrostatic hand strap and the grounding wire;
2, the contact impedance between the electrostatic strap and the skin;
3. Connection with grounding tools such as anti-static boards and mats.
4, after about 50,000 operations, when the green "GOOD" light will still light, but no sound, it means that the battery needs to be replaced.
