How to eliminate static electricity without grounding
The enterprise can improve the production workshop according to the following methods:
Insulators are prone to generate static charges in dry air due to friction, which causes great harm to processing and use. The method of preventing electrostatic hazards is essentially to reduce or prevent friction to reduce the generation of electrostatic charge, or to make the electrostatic charge leak out quickly through various means. At 20°C, the resistance value of the polymer sample is lower than 1010Ω, it can be considered that the polymer has good antistatic performance: if the resistance value = 1010-1012Ω, it can be considered that the polymer has good antistatic properties. Antistatic performance; when the resistance value = 1012-1014Ω, the polymer can be considered to have a moderate antistatic effect; when the resistance value = 1014-1015Ω, there is only a weak antistatic effect; when the resistance value is higher than 1015Ω, then It is considered that there is no antistatic effect. At present, the processing methods of antistatic polyolefin composite materials mainly include the method of adding conductive fillers, the method of adding antistatic agents, and the blending with structural conductive polymer materials.

For the static electricity on the insulator, since the charge cannot flow on the insulator, the grounding method cannot be used to eliminate the static electricity. The following measures can be adopted:
A. Use ion blower-ion blower generates positive and negative ions, which can provide static dissipation performance in the target area and prevent ESD problems. It can be installed in the space and near the placement head of the placement machine.
B. Use static eliminators-static eliminators are surfactants. The surface of the instrument and the turnover container can be wiped with a static eliminator, which can quickly eliminate static electricity on the surface of the object.
C. Control the humidity of the environment-increasing the humidity can increase the surface conductivity of non-conducting materials and make the surface of the object difficult to accumulate static electricity. For example, humidification and ventilation measures can be taken in a dry environment in winter.
D. Use electrostatic shielding——shielding cover (cage) can be used for equipment prone to static electricity.
E. Process control method
In order to generate as little static electricity as possible in the manufacture of electronic products, control the accumulation of static charges, quickly eliminate the existing static accumulation and release it immediately, effective measures should be taken from plant design, equipment installation, operation, and management systems.
