General precautions for this specialized cleaning process include:

(1) Newly manufactured anti-static garments can be washed directly; however, used garments must be carefully inspected, and any oil stains must be manually removed before the washing process begins.

(2) Before washing, items must be checked for tears, damage, or issues with fasteners (such as snaps or buckles). Any defective items must be repaired, replaced, or discarded.

(3) The cleaning, drying, and packaging processes must be conducted within a Class 100 (ISO 5) cleanroom.

(4) The water used for cleaning cannot be ordinary water; it must be either reverse osmosis (RO) water or deionized water.

(5) To remove water-soluble contaminants, items are first washed with water, followed by a final wash using a specialized solvent to remove oily contaminants.

(6) Anti-static garments equipped with fasteners (snaps, buckles, etc.) must be kept in a fastened state during the washing process.

After drying, the items are organized within a dedicated Class 100 cleanroom and placed into clean polyester bags or resealable (zipper-lock) bags. Depending on specific requirements, the items are then vacuum-sealed; it is best to use packaging materials with good anti-static properties. Because the folding process is highly prone to generating particles, it must be performed within a high-grade cleanroom environment. If, upon undergoing ESD testing, the existing anti-static garments or footwear are found to lack anti-static properties, or are deformed, damaged, or suffer from inherent quality defects, the client will be notified accordingly.

The cost for professional cleanroom laundering varies based on the specific type of anti-static products and the technical requirements involved. We advise clients to carefully consider the brand when selecting anti-static products, so as to avoid the need for repeated investment within a short period.
