The principle and use of electrostatic tester

"Electrostatic Tester" is a non-contact portable electrostatic tester with a measuring range of +/-20KV. It is equipped with 2 LED lights to ensure that the static electricity of fibers, yarns, fabrics and carpets is kept 25mm away from the object to be measured during measurement. It can also be used to determine the electrostatic properties of other sheet and plate materials such as paper, rubber, plastic, composite sheet, etc. The instrument host consists of a corona discharge device, a probe and a detection system.


The principle of electrostatic tester:

Using a given high-voltage electric field, the sample to be tested is periodically discharged to induce static electricity in the sample, so as to detect the magnitude of static electricity, the half-life of static voltage, and the residual amount of static electricity to determine the electrostatic performance of the sample to be tested.

Function: Effectively detect electrostatic charge of electrostatic discharge workplace equipment, work surfaces, tools.


How to use the electrostatic tester:

1. Put a 9V dry battery in the battery slot behind the tester. 2. Insert the ground wire banana plug into the ground wire socket on the upper end of the tester. 3. Tie the wrist strap tightly around your wrist. 4. Connect the ground wire to the wrist strap. 5. Press the tester board by hand. At this time, the LCD indicator lights up and a beep is heard. (1) If the red "LOW" light is on, check the resistance of the hand strap and the ground wire. When it is less than 800 kΩ, it will affect the safety of the human body. (2) If the red "HIGH" light is on, check whether the wrist strap is fastened to the wrist, and check the resistance of the ground wire of the strap to ensure that the ground wire of the tester is not loose. (3) If the green "GOOD" light is on, it means the grounding system is good. Features of electrostatic tester: 1. Lightweight and compact design. 2.
