What are the industrial protective measures against static electricity?

Static electricity occurs around us all the time and does not cause any major harm in daily life. However, in some specific situations, such as: in the production process of semiconductors/military electrical equipment/automotive electronics and other products, it turns into an invisible killer. Harshly harvesting the life of the product is also ruthlessly harvesting the reputation and capital of the factory.
In response to the harm of static electricity in industry, people have proposed electrostatic protection solutions from many aspects such as the release and consumption of static electricity, external product protection and product self-protection.
1. Static electricity dissipation: The principle is to consume static electricity after it is generated. Static electricity dissipation materials are usually used to replace ordinary materials. For example, anti-static table mats, anti-static floors, anti-static packaging boxes, etc. used in anti-static work areas.

2. Electrostatic discharge: The principle is to discharge the generated static electricity in a short period of time, usually referring to the grounding of equipment and personnel. The equipment shall be grounded using metal conductors with a standard cross-sectional area. Personnel should be grounded through bracelets, clothing, anti-static shoes and other measures.
3. Static electricity neutralization: Use an ion generator to create positive and negative ions, and blow the ions to the area where static electricity needs to be eliminated to neutralize the generated static electricity. It is generally used in situations where it is difficult to use grounding or static electricity dissipation measures. Common ones include ion blowers, ion blower rods, etc.
4. Electrostatic shielding: Electrostatic shielding is divided into active shielding and passive shielding. It mainly refers to the use of the Faraday cage principle and the use of closed conductors to shield static sources or products that need protection. Such as anti-static packaging bags in product transportation projects.
5. Environmental humidification: Experimental data shows that an increase in environmental humidity can effectively reduce the probability of electrostatic discharge. The main products are humidifiers.
ESD protection design for electronic products: Set up anti-static circuits on electrostatically sensitive components. There are a variety of maturely designed protection circuits at home and abroad that can effectively protect against electrostatic voltages of up to thousands of volts. Protection circuits can reduce the sensitivity of components to ESD, but they cannot completely eliminate it.
