What is the difference between clean shoes made of PVC and PU?
Due to the requirements of enterprise products, the current clean shoes not only need to have anti-static function, but also need to use low-dust materials to suppress the dust generated by people walking in the clean room. Conductive PVC and PU materials are both common materials for making anti-static shoes. The full name of PVC is "polyvinyl chloride", which is a type of plastic. The full name of PU is "polyurethane", which is a type of synthetic leather. There are many differences between the two, and the properties of products made from these two materials are also very different.
PU leather is made by processing the second and third layers of natural leather and the inferior leather through a special film-making and laminating process, and then covering the leather surface with a polyurethane PU surface layer.
PVC leather is a kind of artificial leather, which is the earliest substitute for leather fabrics. It is made by calendering and compounding on the cloth with PVC, plasticizer and other additives.

Craftsmanship
The base fabric of PU is a canvas PU material with good tensile strength. In addition to being coated on the top of the base fabric, the base fabric can also be included in the middle, so that the existence of the base fabric cannot be seen from the outside.
In the manufacturing process, the plastic particles should be hot-melted and mixed into a paste, and uniformly coated on the T/C knitted fabric base according to the specified thickness.
Distinguishing method
1. From the corners, the base fabric of PU is much thicker than that of PVC
2. PU is closer to the feel of leather than PVC. PU feels softer, while PVC feels harder.
3. Burning with fire, the taste of PU is much lighter than that of PVC.
4. The method of soaking with gasoline. Use a small piece of fabric, put it in gasoline for half an hour, and then take it out, the PVC leather will become hard and brittle, but the PU leather will not.
