Nowadays, electronic factories all have anti-static work clothes, but the role of anti-static work clothes is not very clear. Some people think that if they wear anti-static wrist straps and anti-static shoes, anti-static work clothes are dispensable. It is a common misconception that static electricity on clothes or clothes will be released to the ground through anti-static wrist straps and anti-static shoes.
Most clothing is insulating or has insulating properties (depending on how much sweat is in the clothing, thickness, fabric, number of layers, etc.). The charge does not move on the insulator, it will always remain on the insulator, so the static electricity will not be neutralized after a certain period of time. So your sleeves, belts, etc. may carry several thousand volts (the electric field it creates is very strong for surrounding conductors), which may induce charges on nearby isolated conductors, the hazard of which is unimaginable. Therefore, workers need to wear anti-static work clothes and shield the insulating clothes to minimize the electrostatic field generated by the clothes.
It should be noted that all the clothes you wear must be stuffed into the anti-static work clothes and cannot be exposed outside, otherwise the shielding performance of the anti-static clothes will not be guaranteed.
