Antistatic rope door curtains are used in cleanrooms in industries such as electronics and pharmaceuticals. They discharge static electricity by contacting the human body with the conductive rope. The manufacturing process involves fixing specialized antistatic ropes with copper cores to an aluminum alloy or copper plate at intervals, then installing them on the door frame. Grounding is essential to eliminate static electricity from the human body, primarily preventing static sparks when personnel enter or exit.
Working Principle
Conductivity: The antistatic rope typically contains conductive materials (such as copper wire) that conduct accumulated static charge from the body to the ground through contact.
Grounding: During installation, the ends of the ropes are fixed to a profile, and one end of the profile must be grounded to form a static discharge circuit, which is crucial.
Manufacturing and Installation
Measurement: Measure the door opening dimensions to determine the number and length of ropes (usually about 1 meter above the ground).
Cutting: Cut the antistatic ropes to the required length.
Securing the Ropes: Secure both ends of the ropes with copper terminals, then press the ropes at intervals (2-10cm) into grooves in the aluminum alloy profile or fix them to drilled copper plates. Installation: Install the profile with the secured rope above the door frame, ensuring one end of the profile is grounded.
