Difference Between Surface Resistance and Point-to-Point Resistance

Is there a difference between surface resistance and point-to-point resistance?
First of all, there is a difference. Although there seems to be no difference between the two in the way of reading, there is a big difference in the way of testing. The general anti-static surface resistance tester has two metal or rubber strips of equal length on the back, and the spacing is basically equal to the length of the metal strips. The test method is to stick two dozens of strips on the object that needs to detect the surface resistance. The point-to-point resistance needs to be connected to the heavy hammer for testing, and two points with a certain distance are selected on the surface of the object to be tested for testing. The specific choice of which anti-static product should be carried out according to the needs of customers and the requirements of relevant standards.
