How to Package Static Eliminators

Static eliminators (such as ionizing bars, ionizing fans, and ionizing air guns) contain sensitive internal components-including precision circuit boards, high-voltage generators, and delicate discharge needles-that require protection against static electricity, vibration, dust, and physical damage (such as the bending of discharge needles). The standard packaging procedure is as follows:

• Protecting Discharge Needles: Discharge needles are highly susceptible to bending, breaking, or contamination, all of which can impair ionization performance. During packaging, the needle tips must be kept suspended or covered with rigid protective sleeves.
• Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Protection: The entire unit should be placed inside an anti-static bag to prevent the buildup of high-voltage static electricity-caused by friction during transit-which could damage internal micro-circuits.
• Shock and Drop Protection: The unit must be securely cushioned using EPE foam or bubble wrap to prevent the casing from cracking or high-voltage wiring from coming loose due to jolts during transportation.
