Is it necessary to put anti-static chairs in the production workshop?
If your workplace is a production workshop, and the floor and carpet are not anti-static, then we recommend that you use an anti-static chair, or place the chair at least one meter away from the anti-static work area. If your chair needs to be placed in an anti-static work area, we recommend that you remove the carpet and use an anti-static floor mat and grounding chain. If you must use carpets, then we recommend that you conduct conductive treatment on the carpets, such as spraying antistatic liquid, etc.
Also, to protect ESD sensitive components, you need to use a grounded ESD bench mat wherever you work or store ESD sensitive components. Make sure that the anti-static mat used is dissipative so that an ESD event can be avoided. Depending on the activity, everyone should be grounded on both feet and one wrist.
