Precautions for Using the Ion Air Gun
Always read the product manual before installation or operation. Do not operate the ion air gun in flammable or explosive environments.
a. Power and Air Supply Requirements
1. The power supply must have a ground wire and ensure a solid ground connection. The transformer must be properly grounded; check that the grounding knob is tightened before each use.
2. The air supply must be clean, moisture-free, and effectively filtered. A two-stage filtration system may be required. Filters must be cleaned regularly. Otherwise, particles of water, oil, and dust/particulate matter can enter the ion generation chamber and adhere to the inner walls of the plastic components. Over time, this accumulation can lead to arcing from the ion needle, causing the plastic parts to develop a honeycomb-like pattern of burn damage and reducing ion output; this also creates a safety hazard.

b. Adjusting Static Elimination Performance
1. The time required for static elimination is inversely proportional to the air pressure. The operating air pressure should be between 0.3 MPa and 0.7 MPa.
2. The distance and angle of the gun tip or nozzle relative to the static field affect performance; adjust these settings until the desired result is achieved.
c. Routine Maintenance
1. The gun tip/nozzle is fragile. Avoid impacts during use and prevent drops after use. Handle with care; even with fixed-mount nozzles, take precautions to prevent collisions with other objects.
2. Apply a moderate amount of general-purpose anti-rust lubricant to the air pressure adjustment valve.
3. Use anhydrous alcohol-not lacquer thinner-to clean the ion needle and the ion needle chamber. Before cleaning, disconnect the power supply. Then, use tweezers to unscrew the small plastic cap (also known as the air accelerator) at the tip of the ion air gun. Use a cotton swab dipped in anhydrous alcohol to clean the ion needle and the internal chamber, removing all deposits and dirt. Do not attempt to repair the unit yourself if it is damaged.
4. It is best to equip the ion air gun with a foot switch or control its airflow via a solenoid valve linked to the machine's operation; this improves performance and extends the unit's service life.
