Flooring/footwear systems are a grounding alternative for stationary standing or mobile workers. While a seated person will be grounded via an anti-static wrist strap, this approach is not feasible for operators walking around in an electrostatic protected area.
Anti-static hamstring straps are designed to reliably contact a grounded anti-static floor, removing electrostatic charges from personnel by providing a continuous path to ground. They are easy to use and allow ordinary shoes to be grounded by placing the grounding piece in the shoe under the foot.
