The Principle and Usage of Antistatic Door Curtains

Antistatic door curtains generally refer to door curtains specially made of antistatic fabric to prevent the accumulation of static electricity on the human body or clothing. Antistatic fabrics are woven by uniformly mixing conductive fibers, antistatic synthetic fibers, or a mixture of both at specified intervals during the weaving process. Conductive fibers are fibers made wholly or partially of conductive or semi-conductive materials, such as metals or organic materials, with a resistivity between 10⁴ and 10⁹ Ω/cm.

Currently, most antistatic fabrics on the market are made of conductive fibers, with composite fibers being the most common. Antistatic door curtains made by adding conductive fibers to synthetic fiber fabrics eliminate static electricity based on two mechanisms: charge leakage and neutralization. When grounded, static electricity on the fabric can be discharged to the ground through the conductive fibers or neutralized by the corona discharge of the conductive fibers; when not grounded, static electricity is eliminated by the corona discharge of the conductive fibers.
