Anti-static table mat

In many factories, an anti-static table mat is indispensable. It can effectively prevent and avoid static electricity and is an effective anti-static material. So what is the internal structure of the anti-static table mat? How does it work?


First, the anti-static table mat is made by mixing its anti-static substance with various rubbers and additives and then heat-sealing it. Its internal structure consists of two parts. The thickness of this layer is generally controlled at about 0.5 millimeters. Common colors are generally green, and some other colors are gray, blue, and black. This layer is the surface layer of the anti-static pad, and its surface resistance is 10 to 3 Power ohms. In terms of brightness, there can be a difference between bright light and matt light. The second layer is a conductive layer with a uniform color of black. This layer is thicker than the first layer, it can reach more than 0.5mm, generally 1.5mm, and its surface resistance is 10 to 3 to 5 ohms.


Secondly, in terms of main functions, different levels have different functions. The black conductive layer on the bottom of the anti-static table mat often needs to be connected to the ground wire to achieve its conduction performance. The surface anti-static layer of the anti-static table mat can reduce the excessive generation of static electricity due to friction and tear during use, and at the same time accumulate static electricity on the surface and then transfer it to the bottom conductive layer. This is also the working principle of anti-static mats to eliminate static electricity.
