Common ESD problems at factory sites
1. Using anti-static products as ordinary products
Many companies use anti-static products as ordinary products, thinking that they can continue to be used as long as the products are not deformed or broken. In fact, this is a misunderstanding. For example, anti-static wrist straps can only be used for a few months. After a period of use, the appearance may not be damaged, but when testing, it is often found that the wrist strap is broken
2. Not paying attention to socks and insoles
People usually wear socks or insoles when wearing anti-static shoes. For people whose feet are prone to sweating, these socks and insoles will also conduct static electricity. However, if some people whose feet are not prone to sweating wear some non-anti-static socks and insoles, these socks and insoles cannot conduct static electricity, so that the static electricity of the human body cannot be introduced into the earth through the shoes. Therefore, a "human body comprehensive resistance tester" is placed at the entrance of the machine room or factory building. The human body comprehensive tester can quickly and accurately detect those who wear unqualified anti-static shoes, socks and insoles. It is recommended that workers wear anti-static slippers in summer but not socks, and wear cotton socks but not nylon socks in winter.
3. Wear only anti-static shoes but not anti-static clothes
In addition to anti-static shoes, people also need to wear anti-static work clothes to better control human static electricity. Because clothes can also carry high static electricity, especially most of the clothes now are chemical fibers, which can generate thousands or tens of thousands of volts of static electricity.
4. Wear only anti-static clothes but not anti-static shoes
Experiments have shown that if people only wear anti-static work clothes without anti-static shoes and without a good anti-static floor, the anti-static effect is extremely poor.
