Electrostatic protection measures
Static electricity occurs all the time around us, and there is no major harm in daily life, but in some specific cases, such as: in the production process of semiconductor/military electrical equipment/automotive electronics, it becomes intangible Killer, reduce the life of electronic products.
In view of the industrial hazards of static electricity, people put forward static electricity protection schemes from many aspects, such as the release and consumption of static electricity, external protection of products and the protection of products themselves.
1. Static electricity dissipation: The principle is that static electricity is consumed after it is generated, and static electricity dissipation materials are usually used instead of ordinary materials. For example, anti-static table mats, anti-static floors, anti-static packaging boxes used in anti-static work areas.
Static dissipative materials: materials whose surface resistance is between 10 and 10 ohms to the 11th power.
2. Electrostatic discharge: The principle is to discharge the generated static electricity in a short time, usually refers to the grounding of equipment and personnel. The device uses a metal wire with a cross-sectional area that meets the standard to ground the device. The personnel shall be grounded through measures such as wristbands, clothing, and anti-static shoes.
3. Static electricity neutralization: Use an ion generator to produce positive and negative ions, and blow the ions to the area where static electricity needs to be eliminated to neutralize the generated static electricity. It is generally used in occasions where it is difficult to use grounding or static dissipation measures, such as ion fans and wind snakes.
4. Electrostatic shielding: Electrostatic shielding is divided into active shielding and passive shielding. It mainly refers to the use of the Faraday cage principle and the use of enclosed conductors to shield static power sources or products that need protection. Such as anti-static packaging bags in product transportation engineering.
5. Environmental Humidification: Experimental data shows that the increase in environmental humidity can effectively reduce the chance of electrostatic discharge. The main products are humidifiers.

6. ESD protection design of electronic products: anti-static circuits are set up on electrostatic sensitive components. There are a variety of mature protection circuits at home and abroad, which can effectively protect up to thousands of volts of electrostatic voltage. The protection circuit can reduce the susceptibility of components to ESD, but it cannot completely eliminate it.
