How to use the human body comprehensive resistance tester correctly
The Slade single legged human comprehensive tester is a device designed to measure the comprehensive resistance of the human body (including the resistance of the human body, wrist straps, shoes, etc.) using an intuitive light-emitting diode display. This instrument can detect and alarm when the comprehensive resistance of the human body is greater than 109 Ω and less than 105 Ω. The SL-033 single legged human comprehensive tester is equipped with a 750K Ω -10M Ω circuit (for testing wrist straps) and a 750K Ω -100M Ω circuit (for testing shoes). This instrument is an ideal choice for testing wrist straps and shoes.
Problem: The person in charge of the production department of Tianjin Ruiyi Tech Company has reported that their employees, including the supervisor, sometimes test with the instrument after stepping on the test pedal without anti-static shoes and wearing ordinary shoes (the status indicator light passes). According to standard specifications, such situations are not allowed to occur once, and customers suspect that it is a product quality issue. Why did this situation occur? After returning to the company, our engineering and technical personnel responsible for procurement repeatedly studied and found that when pressing the test button of the instrument (made of metal material) by hand, and if other parts of the body, such as the hand, come into contact with the instrument bracket (made of stainless steel material), they will form a conductive circuit with the human body. Because the human body is conductive, regardless of whether anti-static shoes are worn, the test results are qualified. This action may be subconscious, but it can affect the test results.
