Ionizing Air Gun Maintenance and Care

When using an ionizing air gun, please note the following:

I. Power and Air Supply Requirements

1. The power supply must have a ground wire and ensure adequate grounding. The transformer must be properly grounded. Before each use, check that the grounding knob is tightened. Ionizing air guns are high-voltage products; therefore, each power-on operation should not exceed 16 hours. Otherwise: High voltage will cause the high-voltage line and air gun head to overheat, leading to sparking between the ion needle and the ground wire. This will cause the plastic parts to gradually form honeycomb-like charring, gradually reducing the ion removal volume, and even causing safety hazards.

2. All air sources must be effectively filtered. Sometimes a secondary filter is necessary. The filter should be cleaned regularly. Otherwise: Water, oil, and dust/particles will enter the ion generation chamber and adhere to the inner wall of the plastic parts. When this accumulates to a certain level, the ion needle will spark. As a result, the plastic parts will gradually form honeycomb-like charring, gradually reducing the ion removal volume, affecting the electrostatic removal effect, and especially creating safety hazards, or even causing combustion.

II. Adjusting the Static Elimination Effect

1. The static elimination time is inversely proportional to the air pressure. The air pressure should be 0.2 MPa-0.5 MPa.

2. The distance and angle between the air gun head and the electrostatic field both affect the static elimination effect. Adjustments should be made until satisfactory results are achieved.

III. Daily Maintenance

1. The air gun head is easily broken. Take precautions against impacts during use and prevent drops after use. Even for fixed-installation air guns, avoid collisions with objects.

2. Adjust the air pressure of the air gun to a suitable level and add an appropriate amount of universal rust-preventive lubricant.

3. When cleaning the ion needle and ion needle chamber of the ion air gun, use anhydrous alcohol. Do not use thinner to wipe the gun head and body, as this may corrode the plastic parts and further affect the ion balance.

4. Before cleaning, disconnect the power. Use a cotton swab dipped in anhydrous alcohol to clean the ion needle and the inner cavity of the ion needle chamber, removing any internal stains and dirt. 5. For enterprises producing high-precision equipment: They must ensure good and long-lasting static elimination function. The best cleaning method is to use a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to clean any residue on the ion needle.

6. Keeping the air gun clean not only achieves better results but also extends its lifespan.

IV. Important Notes

1. High-voltage ion air guns are precision and sensitive static elimination products. Under suitable operating conditions, their service life can reach 10,000 to 15,000 hours.

2. During operation, all high-voltage static elimination equipment should be regularly checked to ensure it is functioning correctly and to check for any abnormalities. If any abnormalities are found in any individual product, it should be immediately removed from the work area, and the supplier should be contacted for resolution.

3. Do not frequently bend or rotate the connection between the air gun head and the high-voltage wire, as the metal connection is easily broken by the high-voltage wire, potentially causing sparking and burnout. The air gun is a high-voltage electronic product; always disconnect power when leaving the area.

4. Any malfunctions, damages, or other consequences resulting from use of products without grounding, using unclean gas sources, or improper use are not covered by our warranty or liability.

5. Within one year from the date of sale, our company will repair or replace any products free of charge for quality issues caused by defects in the product's components, materials, or workmanship.
