Precautions for Installing a Human Body Electrostatic Discharge Device
1. This device must be installed with a proper connection to a grounding wire or a grounded object.
2. During installation, ensure that no open flames are used, so as to prevent accidents.
3. Before installation, inspect the semiconductive touch element and all connection points for any damage; do not install or use the device if any damage is found.
4. As a person walks, the static electricity accumulated on their body can exceed the minimum ignition energy of petroleum vapors (0.2 mJ) every 25 meters; therefore, it is recommended to install one such device every 25 meters.
5. During normal use, ensure that the person maintains contact with the semiconductive touch element for 10–15 seconds to allow for the complete discharge of static electricity from the human body.
6. Keep the explosion-proof electrostatic discharge touch element clean during use.
