Principle of anti-static wrist strap tester

Instructions:

1 Insert a 9V battery into the battery box on the back.

2 Insert the ground wire plug into the top ground wire jack.

3 Attach the wrist strap firmly to your wrist.

4 Connect the wrist strap to the ground wire.

5 Put the hand with the wrist strap gently on the iron plate in front of the tester. At this time, there are three situations:

1) If the green "GOOD" light is on and you can hear the signal, it indicates that the system is safe and the wrist strap is in normal condition.

2) If the red "LOW" light is on, you must check the ground wire resistance of the wrist strap. If the resistance is lower than 800KΩ, this special situation may be related to the contact point of the body.

3) If the red "HIGH" light is on, first check the wrist strap to confirm that it is firmly connected to the wrist. Then, check the ground wire resistance of the wrist strap. If the resistance is higher than 9MΩ, the reaction force will make the test unsuccessful.

range:

LOW (red light) R<800KΩ

GOOD (green light) 800KΩ≤R≤9MΩ

HIGH (red light) R>9MΩ

Battery: 9V

Note:

Suitable lower limit of resistance difference: +10%-0% 800KΩ

Suitable upper limit of resistance difference: +0%-10% 9MΩ

caveat:

If you can no longer hear the signal but the green light "GOOD" is still on after repeated test operations, you must replace the battery.
