Why does anti-static clothing fail
As an effective means of electrostatic discharge and isolation, anti-static clothing has a pivotal position in modern production. However, the anti-static performance of anti-static clothing is not static, but as the use time increases, the anti-static effect will gradually decrease. (1) The use time is too long, exceeding the design life. The service life of anti-static clothing is affected by many aspects, such as the quality of fabrics and the number of cleaning and disinfection. Generally speaking, the service life of good anti-static clothing is about one year;
(2) The quality of anti-static clothing itself, that is, the problem of anti-static clothing fabrics. Some anti-static clothing fabrics are coated with anti-static liquid on the surface, which will fail after being washed several times. There are also conductive fibers on anti-static clothing. The truth is mixed, such anti-static clothing will also fail in a short time.
(3) Anti-static work clothes are frequently chemically polluted during the process, causing corrosion of conductive wires or abrasion due to increased cleaning;
(4) Frequent wear and tear in the process, such as cuffs, elbows, etc., will cause the conductive wire to break;
(5) The frequency of replacement and cleaning is too long, which makes it more difficult to clean the fabric, thereby accelerating the damage of the conductive thread in the fabric.
