Anti-static footwear maintenance and cleaning
Anti-static shoes (static dissipative) need frequent maintenance and cleaning to make them work properly. If shoes are not maintained, they may lose all ESD functions. Anti-static footwear maintenance
In order to maintain proper ESD performance, shoes must be maintained and cleaned frequently. The following is the recommended weekly cleaning schedule:
1. Keep the outsole very clean, free of any dust, debris and other contaminants. Use neutral soap and water to scrub the outsole.
2. Keep the inside of the shoes clean. Remove the insole and clean the insole and inside of the shoe with a vacuum cleaner.
3. Clean the leather upper with a damp cloth.
The insole is a very critical part of the anti-static footwear function. Do not substitute or replace original insoles with non-ESD insoles.
Very dry feet or socks and dry environments may degrade the performance of ESD shoes. Humidity is critical to ESD performance. Do not use footwear powder that will reduce the humidity in the shoes.
Instructions for use:
1. Anti-static shoes are protective shoes that can eliminate static electricity on the human body and prevent electric shocks below 250 volts. This product is produced according to the GB4385-1995 standard.
2. Mainly used to prevent the human body from generating static electricity, such as petroleum, chemical, coal, printing, rubber, medical, purification, electronics and other industries where there is static electricity, such as burning, explosion, etc.
3. When wearing conductive shoes, please do not wear insulating wool socks and insulating insoles at the same time. It is forbidden to use anti-static shoes as insulating shoes.
4. The place where anti-static shoes are used should be grounded against static electricity, and the place where conductive shoes are used should be grounded electrically to achieve a good anti-static or conductive effect.
5. It should be used with anti-static clothing, pay attention to product cleanliness, waterproof and moisture-proof.
6. Generally, a resistance test should be performed within 200 hours during wearing. If the resistance is not within the specified range, it cannot be used as antistatic leather shoes. Anti-static shoes need a resistance between 100K and 1000 ohms.
