Anti-static measures for contact with electronic sensitive devices
All personnel who come into contact with electrostatic sensitive devices (production, assembly, measurement, debugging, storage, distribution, etc.) should pay attention to the following:
1. Use anti-static wrist strap (or elbow strap, ankle strap);
2. Wear anti-static overalls, shoes and hats;
3. Operations that may cause electrostatic damage should be avoided;
4. When tilting the device out of the package, it should be as gentle as possible to avoid electrostatic charge when tilting quickly (a serious potential can reach 1000-1500V);
5. When holding the device, you should touch the case and try not to touch the outer leads or pins of the device;
6. Before operating, the operator must first touch the anti-static workbench or metal grounding wire with his hands, and then work;
7. In the electrostatic protection zone, do not do actions that are prone to static electricity, such as wiping feet, rubbing hands, putting on and taking off work clothes, etc.
Environmental anti-static measures when using LED
1. Laying anti-static floor, with grounding dissipation system, surface resistivity: 10 6~10 9/cm2
2. Electrostatic sensitive devices should be operated on an anti-static workbench, and the anti-static work surface should be laid with a protective work surface made of static dissipative materials, and grounded:
Surface resistivity: 10.6~10.9/cm2
Volume resistivity: 10.3~10.8/cm2
Frictional electrification potential: ≤100V
Static voltage decay time: ≤0.5S
3. During the entire use and operation process of electrostatic sensitive devices, the DC ion fan should be activated and operated within the effective range of the ion fan (generally no more than 60cm).
4. The relative humidity of the electrostatic protection zone should be controlled above 50%, preferably between 70% and 80%.
5. There must be a good anti-static grounding system, the ground, wall, workbench, equipment, instrument and wrist strap, etc., according to the working area and unit, are isolated from each other, enter the ground sequentially, and then merge into the bus and discharge to the ground.
6. Anti-static appliances should be used in the static protection zone: all kinds of containers, work fixtures, work surfaces and equipment mats in the static protection zone should avoid using materials that are prone to static electricity, mainly referring to general-purpose materials and rubber products.
7. The soldering iron used for soldering (*easy to use a straight constant temperature soldering iron) and the test instrument used should be well grounded.
Part 3: Anti-static measures during LED packaging, transportation and storage




1. Packaging
Electrostatic sensitive devices must be packed in anti-static packaging boxes or boxes before they can be shipped. This kind of packaging should not generate static electricity due to vibration and friction when transporting devices. Do not use nylon bags, ordinary plastic bags or vinyl materials for packaging. Electrostatic sensitive devices are not allowed to remove their anti-static packaging at will before use. Do not take the device out of the anti-static packaging box prematurely before assembly. The packaging box should be removed in the electrostatic protection area, and the removed components should be placed in the pre-prepared conductive box for storage immediately.
2 Transportation
When transporting, minimize mechanical vibration and shock.
3. Storage
Anti-static measures should also be taken when storing static-sensitive devices and printed circuit boards or complete machines with static-sensitive devices.
