Electronic processing companies and semiconductor factories have taken many anti-static protection measures, and static accidents still exist. The wrong use of anti-static products is one of the causes of the accident. It is not possible to eliminate anti-static effects by wearing anti-static work clothes. Based on the problems found in the customer's production site for many years, I summarized the incorrect use method or the misunderstanding of electrostatic protection.
1. The anti-static elimination equipment has not been tested as required for a long time, and some have no static elimination function but are still in use, such as ion blowers. The surface of the ion needle is already covered with dust and cannot generate ion wind at all. The fan has lost the function of eliminating static electricity.
2. Wrong use of anti-static tools, such as incorrect use of wrist straps, anti-static wrist straps must be in close contact with the human body. Wrist straps are relatively easy to damage, so they need to be checked every day. A good wrist strap will not conduct electricity because workers wear it too loosely. So the best way is to monitor it in real time with a wrist strap online monitor. However, many companies do not even have a wrist strap tester. An anti-static wrist strap has been used for many years (the national standard requires that it be replaced every six months), so it will not have the effect of discharging static electricity.
3. Anti-static shoes and anti-static clothing are not worn at the same time. In addition to wearing anti-static shoes, people must also use anti-static clothing to better control the body's static electricity. Because clothing can also carry high static electricity during sports friction, especially now that most clothing is made of chemical fiber, it can generate thousands of tens of thousands of volts of static electricity.
Production site inspections proved that the operators only wear anti-static overalls, but do not wear anti-static shoes and do not have a good anti-static floor. The anti-static effect cannot reach the standard. It can be seen that the anti-static measures can only achieve the effect in multiple directions.
