Choosing the right antistatic shoes for your workplace is crucial.

Different industries have different statuses and values. For example, in the pharmaceutical industry, we can distinguish it by the clothing worn. Clothing not only represents the nature of the industry but also plays a role in protecting personal safety, especially in work environments where there is a high risk of static electricity damage. Due to the special nature of these environments, choosing appropriate protective equipment is particularly important.

Electrical protective shoes are protective equipment for the feet. Three types are recommended: antistatic shoes, conductive shoes, and insulating shoes. These primarily prevent damage to components caused by static electricity and injuries from electric shock.

Antistatic shoes eliminate static electricity buildup on the body and prevent electric shock from power sources below 250V. Conductive shoes have good conductivity and can eliminate static electricity buildup on the body in a short time; they should only be used in places without a risk of electric shock. Insulating shoes insulate the feet from charged objects, effectively preventing electric shock.

In industries such as electronics and pharmaceuticals, where the environment is relatively clean and the work intensity is relatively low (less movement), antistatic or conductive shoes are suitable. They are lightweight, comfortable, and breathable. In the petrochemical industry, including gas stations, the working environment is complex and the workload is relatively high (with a lot of movement). Anti-static or conductive leather shoes are recommended as they are more durable and resistant to dirt. Similarly, in live-line work environments with voltages below 1kV and relatively dry conditions, insulating leather shoes or insulating cloth-upholstered rubber shoes with a voltage rating of 15kV or lower are suitable. In work environments with voltages above 1kV or in humid conditions, insulating rubber boots or insulating plastic boots with a voltage rating of 15kV or higher are recommended.
