Classification of Nonwoven Fabrics

I. Spunlace Nonwoven Fabric

Spunlace technology involves spraying high-pressure micro-jet water onto one or more layers of fiber web, causing the fibers to entangle and thus strengthening the web.

II. Thermally Bonded Nonwoven Fabric

Thermoly bonded nonwoven fabric refers to nonwoven fabric in which fibrous or powdered hot-melt adhesives are added to the fiber web, which is then heated, melted, and cooled to solidify into a fabric.

III. Air-laid Pulp Nonwoven Fabric

Air-laid nonwoven fabric, also known as dust-free paper or dry-laid paper nonwoven fabric, uses air-laid technology to open wood pulp fiberboard into single fibers, then uses airflow to condense the fibers onto a forming screen, and finally solidifies the web into a fabric.

IV. Wet-laid Nonwoven Fabric

Wet-laid nonwoven fabric involves opening fiber raw materials in an aqueous medium into single fibers, while simultaneously mixing different fiber raw materials to create a fiber suspension. This suspension is then transported to a forming mechanism, where the fibers form a web in a wet state and are then solidified into a fabric. V. Spunbond Nonwoven Fabric

Spunbond nonwoven fabric is produced by extruding and stretching polymers to form continuous filaments, laying these filaments into a web, and then bonding the web through self-adhesion, thermal bonding, chemical bonding, or mechanical reinforcement to create a nonwoven fabric.

VI. Meltblown Nonwoven Fabric

The process of meltblown nonwoven fabric production involves: polymer feeding – melt extrusion – fiber formation – fiber cooling – web formation – reinforcement into fabric.

VII. Needle-punched Nonwoven Fabric

Needle-punched nonwoven fabric is a type of dry-lay nonwoven fabric. It utilizes the piercing action of needles to reinforce a loose fiber web into a fabric.

VIII. Stitch-knitted Nonwoven Fabric

Stitch-knitted nonwoven fabric is a type of dry-lay nonwoven fabric. The stitch-knitting method uses warp-knitted loop structures to reinforce fiber webs, yarn layers, nonwoven materials (such as plastic sheets, plastic foils, etc.), or combinations thereof to create a nonwoven fabric.
