Applications of Antistatic esd mats
Antistatic flooring, raised flooring, PVC flooring, and mats are indispensable in electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection projects. There are various types of antistatic flooring, categorized by duration (permanent or temporary), material (conductive rubber, PVC, conductive ceramic, etc.), and installation method (directly laid on the ground or raised flooring). The choice depends on actual needs and cost. For environments requiring multiple cables and conduits on the ground, such as computer environments, raised flooring is preferable.
Soldering irons are commonly used in post-processing and repair. While conventional soldering irons require unplugging when soldering ESD-sensitive components, antistatic soldering irons use DC temperature and pressure power supplies. Their heating elements are often made of materials with constant temperature characteristics and low electrostatic capacitance, significantly reducing various interference signals. Furthermore, the soldering iron can also be used for ESD grounding, further eliminating various signals on the soldering tip. Therefore, it is not necessary to unplug the power cord during soldering.

Antistatic ESD table mats are primarily made of antistatic composite rubber sheets and are mainly used for matting tabletops, assembly line work surfaces, shelves, and making floor mats. The surface layer is grass green, with an antistatic agent as the conductive material; the bottom layer is black, with carbon black as the conductive material.
