ESD PP Strapping Usage Instructions

ESD PP strapping (anti-static PP strapping) is designed for highly sensitive industries such as electronics and semiconductors to prevent static electricity buildup. It must be used in an ESD protected area, using an automatic/semi-automatic strapping machine or manual tools. Thread the strap through the package and secure it using friction heat sealing or strapping buckles, ensuring stable surface resistance of the strap to effectively dissipate static electricity.

ESD Area: Must be used in an ESD protected area (EPA). Ensure workbenches and personnel are grounded and avoid contact with static-carrying materials.

Equipment Check: Load the ESD PP strapping into an automatic/semi-automatic strapping machine or prepare manual strapping tools (such as tensioners, clamps).

Strapping Operation Steps

Threading: Wrap the anti-static strap around the product to be packaged.

Tightening: Use the strapping machine to tighten the strap to the appropriate tightness. The ESD strapping contains special materials to prevent the generation of high static electricity during tightening.

Welding/Snapping:

Fully Automatic/Semi-Automatic: The equipment fuses the strapping joints using a heat-sealing method.

Manual: Secure with strapping clips and clamps.

Cutting: Cut off excess strapping to complete packaging.

Precautions:

Compatibility: ESD PP strapping is suitable for most standard strapping equipment, especially recommended for high-precision fully automatic strapping machines to ensure stability.

Storage: Avoid prolonged storage in high humidity or high temperature environments to prevent affecting anti-static properties.

Maintenance: Regularly check the surface resistance of the strapping to ensure it is within the effective anti-static range.
