ESD Shoe Testing Conditions
The main requirements for ESD shoe testing are as follows:
Test Environment
Temperature: (20±2)℃
Relative Humidity: 30%±3%
The sole surface must be cleaned with ethanol and dried before testing.
Test Equipment
Resistance Tester: 100V±5% DC open circuit voltage, measurement range ≥1.0×10^6 ohms
Electrodes: Aluminum foil for positive electrode, stainless steel plate for negative electrode
Conductive Coating Resistance Measuring Device
Test Method

Antistatic Shoe Resistance Test: 500V voltage, resistance range 0.5×10^5~10^7 ohms
Conductive Shoe Resistance Test: 100±5V voltage, resistance ≤1.5×10^7 ohms
Human Body Comprehensive Resistance Test: 1.0×10^7~1.0×10^11 ohms
Test Standards

International Standard: IEC 61000-4-2
American Standard: ANSI/ESD S20.20
Chinese Standard: GB/T 17626.2
Testing Frequency: Antistatic shoes should be inspected every 6 months. Conductive shoes should be inspected every 3 months.
