How to choose the ESD fabric of anti-static work clothes
Anti-static work clothes should be made of fabrics containing good conductive fibers. There are mainly three types of anti-static fabrics currently used.
1. Utilize the humidity dependence of the anti-static effect. Through anti-static finishing, that is, adding hydrophilic polymers (surfactants) during spinning, the fabric can easily absorb moisture in the air, reduce surface impedance, reduce static electricity accumulation, and release human static electricity in time

2. Utilize the conductivity of fibers. Add antistatic agents and carbon black particles to the fiber raw materials of work clothes to make them conductive fibers. Through blending, interweaving, interweaving, interweaving or weaving, the conductivity of fibers or fabrics is improved to generate anti-static fabrics, realize charge dissipation, and prevent static electricity accumulation
3. A certain amount of metal fibers are mixed into the fibers of work clothes to make blended fabrics. This kind of fabric has good stability and is resistant to washing. The "Anti-static Work Clothes" (GB12014-1989) listed in the catalog of special labor protection products is sewn with anti-static fabrics as the fabric to prevent static electricity accumulation in clothes. It is suitable for wearing in fire or explosion hazardous places. The manufacturing process of the antistatic fabric used is mainly to mix all or part of the antistatic fibers or antistatic synthetic fibers made of metal or organic conductive materials at roughly equal intervals or evenly during weaving, or to mix the two together. All clean work clothes, antistatic work clothes, and antistatic wool sweaters used as work clothes in fire and explosion hazardous places are included in the scope of safety sign management. Technical requirements The technical requirements of antistatic work clothes include three aspects: structure, antistatic performance, and strength. The manufacturing structure of clothing directly affects its antistatic effect. Therefore, the structural design of antistatic work clothes must ensure:

(1). Metal accessories are generally not allowed on work clothes. When metal buttons and zippers must be used, it should be strictly ensured that the metal accessories are not directly exposed when worn to avoid sparks caused by discharge, causing fire and explosion.
(2). All work clothes should be made of antistatic fabrics without lining. When lining (pockets, reinforcement cloth, etc.) must be used, the exposed area of the lining should be less than 20% of the exposed area of the entire anti-static clothing; for cold-proof clothing or other anti-static clothing with special requirements, when the exposed area of the lining exceeds 20% of the exposed area of the entire anti-static clothing, the mask and lining should be detachable. Anti-static performance The national standard for anti-static work clothes has put forward requirements for the amount of charge carried by a single piece of clothing under certain washing resistance conditions. After the implementation of the special labor protection product safety sign, it is required to apply a firm and durable special labor protection product safety sign in a conspicuous position. Equipment and selection Anti-static work clothes are mainly used in fire and explosion hazardous places.
