How to distinguish the upper and lower layers of the anti-static rubber mat

When laying the anti-static rubber mat, it is necessary to distinguish the upper and lower layers, because the resistance of the upper layer must be between 1*106~1*109 ohms, while the resistance of the lower layer needs to be less than 1*106 ohms. role is determined.

First of all, it is easiest to distinguish by color. The lower layer of the anti-static rubber mat is black due to the presence of conductive carbon black in the material, while the color of the upper layer is mainly green, blue or gray, and it may also be other colors. Custom colors. However, there are also cases where the upper and lower layers are black, and generally there will be a certain color difference, and the obviously thinner layer is the upper layer. If even the color difference cannot be identified, then it can only be judged by testing the resistance. In the absence of a megohmmeter, the maximum range of the multimeter can be used to detect the resistance of the two sides. If there is a reading on one side and no reading on the other side, then The lower layer has readings, and the upper layer has no readings. If there is no reading, you can only change to a multimeter with a larger range or check whether the anti-static rubber mat is a qualified product.

In order to avoid the situation where it is difficult to distinguish the upper and lower layers, we often do not recommend customers to customize products with black upper and lower layers. If black must be used, we will also distinguish them, so as to avoid unnecessary troubles to customers as much as possible.
