How to repair the anti-static rubber mat
There are many kinds of damage to the anti-static rubber mat. We must be able to distinguish which damage can be repaired, which damage must be completely replaced, and which damage does not need to be repaired at all.
Let’s start with the situation that does not need to be repaired. For example, the anti-static rubber pad is completely pierced from top to bottom, and there are extremely small holes, which can be ignored. If it is a scratch, it is recommended to use glue to reinforce it. Make tinkering.

Secondly, if the hole is large, or it is burned by high temperature, or it is corroded by strong acid and strong alkali, etc., no matter whether there is a hole or not, as long as there is a defect that can be found on the anti-static rubber mat, it is recommended to replace the hole here. Cut off the anti-static rubber mat and replace it with a new anti-static rubber mat. It should be noted that in order to ensure the reliability of the grounding after repairing, it is best to expose a section of grounding copper foil when intercepting, that is, to ensure the newly added anti-static The rubber pad can be directly in contact with the grounding copper foil.
Finally, if there are cracks or discoloration, and it is obviously not caused by external force, it means that the rubber of this anti-static rubber mat has aged and failed. Regardless of the size of the crack area, it should be removed in its entirety and a new one should be laid. Even if the anti-static rubber mats laid in the same batch as this anti-static rubber mat are not replaced uniformly, they must all be tested again to prevent failure.
