How to use the surface resistance tester

Portable surface resistance tester, the specification is 103 ohm/m2 ~ 1012 ohm/m2, and the accuracy is ±101/2. It is mainly used to measure surface resistance grounding resistance. When measuring surface resistance, just put the instrument on the surface of the measuring object and press the red test button. Then the instrument will light up the corresponding lamp or insulation display in the range of 103 ohm/m2 to 1012 ohm/m2. When measuring the grounding resistance, repeat the above process and insert the grounding plug into the socket connected to the grounding point at the same time.

Product Applicable

It is mainly used in anti-static workshops to detect static index of table mats, wrist straps, hamstring straps, etc.

It is also widely used in electronics, pharmaceuticals, food, bioengineering, optics, aerospace and other industries.

Other functions

Regarding the use of the ground wire inside: insert the ground wire into the tester jack, the parallel electrodes corresponding to the direction of the jack will be insulated, and then use the parallel electrode at the other end and the alligator clip at one end of the ground wire to test the object. Generally, non-planar products can be tested. , or test the resistance value of the test table and the ground test, there are 10 indicator lights, when the tester is attached to the surface of the tested object and the red button is pressed, the corresponding light will be on. 3-5 is the electrical conductivity, 6-12 is the antistatic coefficient (surface resistivity), and the other single lamp position is the insulating lamp.

Description of the measurement index of the anti-static tester:

10 to the 3-5th power = conductor

10 to the 6-10th power = anti-static (ESD anti-static standard)

10 to the 11-12th power = insulator (12th power is completely insulated)

Note: The measured object should not be too humid, otherwise the test accuracy will be affected!

Surface resistance of an object:

A resistance greater than 10 to the 12th ohm is an insulator. More than 10 to the 6th power and less than 10 to the 11th power ohm is an antistatic body. More than 10 to the third power and less than 10 to the fifth power of ohms are conductors.

The concept of plastic anti-static: when the surface resistance of plastic and products: more than 10 power, it is easy to generate static electricity; it has a certain anti-static performance between 8-10 power; it has good anti-static performance between 6-8 power Anti-static performance; it has the best anti-static performance between the power of 4-6; when it reaches the power of 4, it has a considerable conductive performance, which is a conductor semiconductor material.

Instructions:

To measure surface impedance, place the meter on the surface to be measured, press and hold the red TEST button, and the continuously lit light-emitting diode (LED) indicates the magnitude of the measured surface impedance.
