How to use the electrostatic tester
1. Put a 9V dry battery in the battery slot behind the electrostatic tester.
2. Insert the ground wire banana plug into the ground wire socket on the upper end of the QUICK-498 tester.
3. Fasten the wrist strap tightly to your wrist.
4. Connect the ground wire to the wrist strap.
5. Press the electrostatic tester tester board by hand. At this time, the LCD indicator lights up and a beep can be heard.
(1) If the red "LOW" light is on, check the resistance between the hand strap and the ground wire. If it is less than 800 kΩ, it will affect the human body.
(2) If the red "HIGH" light is on, check whether the hand strap is tightly tied to the wrist, and check the resistance of the grounding wire of the hand strap to ensure that the hand strap is not loose from the grounding wire of the tester.
(3) If the green "GOOD" light is on, it means the grounding system is good.
