Cordless wrist straps use a corona discharge mechanism, which requires a certain amount of charge to be discharged into the air to achieve their anti-static effect. In practice, even before a certain amount of charge is accumulated, static electricity is already present, making it difficult to control or detect during operation, resulting in a lack of safety. Therefore, it's recommended that you purchase a corded wrist strap as the most effective way to ground personnel.
