What are static electricity dischargers?

Static electricity dischargers (or static eliminators) are mainly divided into two categories: human body static electricity discharge devices and industrial/environmental static electricity elimination devices. They are used to prevent static electricity buildup from causing electric shock or flammable and explosive hazards.

I. Human Body Static Electricity Dischargers (Preventing Electric Shock on the Human Body): These devices are mainly used in oil depots, chemical plants, electronics factories, computer rooms, and gas stations to allow personnel to eliminate static electricity accumulated on their bodies before entering hazardous areas. Explosion-proof human body static electricity dischargers (static electricity discharge columns/balls): Commonly found at the entrances of gas stations and chemical areas, they are usually conductive contact balls made of stainless steel. After a person touches them, the static electricity is safely and slowly released through the built-in anti-static resistor. Some products also have audible and visual alarms. Anti-static wristbands/ankle straps: Commonly used in electronics factories and semiconductor workshops, they are connected to an anti-static grounding system through conductive wristbands or ankle straps to continuously conduct away static electricity generated by the human body. Anti-static clothing and shoes: The soles of the shoes are made of conductive rubber, and the clothing fabric is embedded with conductive fibers to conduct static electricity from the human body to the ground at any time. II. Industrial/Environmental Static Eliminators (Eliminating Static Electricity on Object Surfaces) These devices are commonly used in the printing, packaging, plastics, and electronics manufacturing industries. They neutralize the charge on material surfaces by generating positive and negative ions.

RS Ochre Ion Fan: Utilizes a built-in high-voltage generator to ionize air and uses a fan to blow a large number of positive and negative ions onto the surface of charged objects to neutralize static electricity.
Ion Gun/Ion Snake: Commonly used in electronic component assembly lines, shaped like a pistol or snake, it can directionally spray ionized airflow to remove localized static electricity and dust.
Ion Bar (Static Eliminator): A long, strip-shaped design typically installed above high-speed film, paper, or fabric machinery. It neutralizes static electricity on a large area of moving materials through large-scale corona discharge.
Self-Discharge Static Eliminator (Static Brush): Does not rely on an external power source. It uses rows of extremely fine conductive fibers (such as carbon fiber or metal wire) to perform point discharge near charged objects.

III. Simple Daily Static Electricity Elimination/Release Methods: Touch Method: Before touching metal door handles or elevator buttons, gently touch a wall, concrete floor, or large metal object with your palm or a key to release static electricity beforehand. Humidification: Using a humidifier to increase indoor air humidity can effectively prevent static electricity buildup. Damp Towel Wiping: In dry seasons, before taking off clothes, wipe the surface of the clothes with a damp towel, or spray a small amount of water mist around the clothes using a humidifying spray.
