Why should we wear ESD anti-static shoes in the clean room?
Some products in the aerospace, chip, semiconductor, food, pharmaceutical and other industries have strict production environment requirements and need to be produced in clean rooms. Workers entering the clean room need to wear special work shoes---dust-free shoes. Why should staff wear dust-free shoes and what is their use?
The human body is an important source of contamination in clean rooms. People will release and secrete pollutants during their metabolism; human body surfaces and clothes will be contaminated with or carry pollutants; people's activities in clean rooms will produce particles and microorganisms.

In order to maintain the cleanliness of the clean room environment, people have designed dust-free clothes and dust-free shoes and hats. The main function of dust-free shoes is to release the electrostatic charge of the human body and introduce the static electricity generated by the human body to the ground to reduce the damage of static electricity to components and equipment; at the same time, it can also suppress the dust caused by walking and improve product quality.
Dust-free shoes generally use PU or PVC materials to make soles. Special materials are added to the soles to have good anti-static and dust-proof effects. PU soles are softer and more comfortable than PVC soles, and can appropriately relieve foot fatigue caused by standing for a long time.
