For the ESD safety station, the concept of grounding the grounding wire is to have all conductors at the same potential, thus
minimizing the potential difference between the two conductors. Since the power ground and the ground are always in the control zone, it is the most convenient connection point. If the antistatic wrist strap and the ESD mat are connected to the same grounding point, they have the same potential and are the correct mounting method. The anti-static wrist is first connected to the ESD mat, then through the mat, and then through the mat diagonally, and finally grounded, so that the mat has an additional series impedance (resistance or capacitance) to the ground, sometimes, the operator It can be at a different potential than a grounded desktop device or an ESD sensitive device located on a table mat. The specific method of installation is as follows:
1. Lay the anti-static mat on the workbench and install the anti-static grounding wire on the corner of the workbench;
2. Draw a small opening into the anti-static table mat, insert it into the star claw part of the grounding wire, and the star claw must be tightly fastened with the anti-static table mat;
3. The other end of the anti-static grounding wire is the squid clip holding the anti-static grounding busbar.
4. Measure whether the anti-static grounding wire, anti-static table mat and the ground are connected, and the test passes, that is, the anti-static grounding device is basically completed.
