How to use the anti-static heel strap correctly

First, let's figure out the principle of the anti-static heel strap.

The anti-static heel strap is also known as an anti-static ribbed strap. It is an antistatic consumer that releases static electricity from the body. Its main function is to release static electricity, which is just to introduce human body static electricity into the earth. How do you do that?

The anti-static heel strap has the following main components: rubber, conductive tape, resistors and velcro.

The Velcro is mainly used for fixing and is an auxiliary wear accessory for fixing the heel strap to the heel of a daily shoe.

The function of the resistor is to limit the current to protect the human body, so even if the human body is in an accidental electric shock, the current flowing through the human body remains within the safe current range.

The conductive strip acts like a bracelet for connecting human skin. Wrap it around the ankle or leg and attach the human skin to the rubber through the conductive yarn above.

The role of rubber is to connect conductors to the earth. The rubber is divided into two sides. Usually, the rubber side is black, and the other side is blue, gray, white, red, and the like. The black surface is a conductive layer and the resistance is typically less than a multiple of 10 ohms, while the other side is an insulating layer or a dissipative layer, typically above an octave of 10 ohms. (With the development of technology, some foreign manufacturers have begun to use conductive layers other than black.)

Therefore, the principle of the antistatic heel strap is the same as that of the antistatic wrist strap. It is a conductive device that releases static electricity from the body through the wear of the antistatic heel strap.

Therefore, the use of antistatic heels has a precondition. For example, an antistatic wrist strap requires an antistatic grounding port, and an antistatic heel strap requires an antistatic floor. Ordinary ground use is invalid.

When an antistatic heel strap is used, a large amount of static electricity is generated due to friction with the ground during walking, and a single foot is formed from the ground during walking. Therefore, the user must wear an anti-static heel strap on both feet to keep the body in a grounded state.

In the above picture, the user's blue side faces outward and does not form an effective channel. The same effect as before wearing. Some users report that the human body comprehensive test pointer does not move when the heel strap test is performed. Wearing it is really a problem.
