Anti-static product safety guidelines

Static electricity is caused by the transfer of electrons in the outer layer of the atom by various external forces, which are caused by the formation of positive and negative ions. The contact and friction of any two different materials will cause charge transfer and accumulation to form static electricity. Therefore, anti-static products must pay close attention to the danger of static electricity.

The guidelines for the packaging, protection, transportation, storage and marking of antistatic products are as follows:
(1) All storage and transportation of electrostatic discharge sensitive products can only be carried out under proper anti-static packaging conditions. Such as board transfer application bags, pallet transport.
(2) Any static sensitive product not packed in an ESD container shall be rejected. Large warehouses, IQC, and line materials should pay special attention to this point.
(3) When it is necessary to remove the static sensitive product from the protective packaging container, it must be carried out on an electrostatic protection workbench.
(4) Before the protective cover or package of the electrostatic sensitive product is opened, it should be neutralized by ion wind on the anti-static workbench to eliminate the static charge on the package.
(5) Electrostatic sensitive products that are not put into use shall be protected and isolated by baffles, brackets, non-corrosive conductive foam, protective covers or protective packaging.
(6) All containers used in the ESD work area should be grounded before or during use. Ground directly or by contact with an appropriate grounded protective surface. That is, all containers used cannot be placed on non-antistatic objects, such as office equipment.
(7) Electrostatic sensitive products must be placed under the conditions of electrostatic protection packaging.
