Charge detection method for anti-static ESD clothing

I. Scope of application

It is applicable to measure and evaluate the charge of the whole piece of anti-static work clothes.

II. Principle

Put the sample after roller friction into the Faraday cup to measure the charge of the sample.

III. Device

3.1 Friction device

The technical requirements of the rotary roller friction machine shall comply with the provisions of Table A1

3.2 Charge test device

It consists of a Faraday cup, a capacitor and an electrostatic potentiometer.

Electrostatic potentiometer: The error is ±1%, and the input resistance is 1×1012 ohms or more.

Capacitor: The capacitance value should match the range of the electrostatic potentiometer, and the insulation resistance is 1012 ohms or more.

Polyethylene tape: The insulation resistance is 1012 ohms or more.

IV. Washing and humidification

The sample must be washed and humidified before testing

4.1 Washing treatment

Wash according to the main washing method. Repeat 5 times from immersion, rinsing to dehydration

4.2 Humidity adjustment

4.2.1 After washing, dry the sample at (60±10)℃ for 1 hour, and put it into a plastic bag in a simulated wearing state (buttons and zippers are fastened on the front side).

4.2.2 Place it under the test environment conditions for 24 hours.

V. Test conditions

The test environment conditions are temperature (20±5)℃ and relative humidity above 40%.
