How to test the performance of anti-static packaging
The following are the core methods and technical specifications for anti-static packaging performance testing, which are summarized based on industry standards and practical experience:
1. Electrical performance testing (core indicators)
Surface resistance test
Method: Use a surface resistance tester (parallel electrodes or heavy hammer electrodes) to measure surface resistance in two humidity environments (12±3%RH, 50±5%RH)
Standard range:
Inner surface resistance: 1.0×10³Ω~1.0×10¹²Ω
Outer surface resistance: <1.0×10¹²Ω
Key points:
High resistance materials ( >10⁹Ω) requires a 100V hammer electrode tester
Clean the sample surface before testing to avoid oil/dust interference
Internal induced electrical energy test
Method:
Apply 1kV voltage to 100pF capacitor;
Simulate electrostatic discharge through discharge electrode;
Measure the induced energy in the shielding bag with a capacitive probe (≤50nJ)
Equipment: Electrostatic discharge simulator + 500Ω high-voltage resistor loop
Electrostatic shielding effectiveness verification
Steps:
Place a voltage sensor (10V~300V) in the bag;
Apply electrostatic interference externally to detect the internal voltage attenuation value;
Complies with IEC 61000-4-2 standard is qualified
**2. Physical performance test
Test items Methods and equipment Qualified standards
Sealing strength Cut 25mm wide sample, stretch at 50cm/min speed ≥15N/25mm
Puncture resistance Sharp object vertically punctures the sample ≥27N (single side)
Thickness uniformity Thickness gauge (accuracy 0.001mm) Meets factory tolerance requirements
⚠️ Note: Physical testing needs to be carried out in a constant temperature and humidity environment (23±5℃, 50±5%RH)
