Electrostatic protection operation of electronic products

1) Anti-static workbench

The anti-static workbench is one of the basic components of the anti-static system*. It consists of a workbench, an anti-static table mat, a wrist strap connector and a ground wire, etc. The anti-static workbench should meet the following requirements:

(A) There should be no less than two wristband joints on the workbench, one for the operator and the other for the technician, inspector or other personnel.

(B) When necessary, an ion wind static eliminator should be equipped above the anti-static workbench.

2), anti-static wrist strap

The anti-static wrist strap is the main device to maintain human body protection and ensure the effective grounding of the human body. Anyone who directly touches static-sensitive products should wear an anti-static wrist strap. It should:

(A) It can be in good contact with human skin, and the wristband must have no irritation or allergic effect on human skin.

(B) It has a connecting mechanism that can be loosened quickly.

(C) All external surfaces of the wristband are made of insulating materials.

(D) Connect the connecting wire (wrist training) of the wrist strap to the inner surface of the wrist strap. The end of the connecting wire for connecting with the wrist strap should be specially marked, and there should be a resistor in series with this end, its resistance value is 1MΩ, and the rated power is at least 0.25W.

 3), anti-static container

Anti-static containers refer to all containers (such as bags, transfer boxes, printed board racks, component storage boxes, etc.) used to store and recycle static-sensitive components and components during the production and assembly of electronic products. What they need**:

(a) It is not allowed to be made of metal or ordinary plastic.

(b) When necessary, keep grounding when storing or transporting static-sensitive products.

4), ion wind static eliminator (ionizer)

It is the main appliance used to eliminate static charges on insulating parts. It is required to eliminate static electricity quickly, and can neutralize any kind of electrical polarity, so that the positive and negative ion concentration in the anti-static working area are maintained in a good balance state, and the maximum space potential difference generated is less than 100V.

5) Anti-static work clothes

Wearing anti-static work clothes is an important means to maintain the static protection of the operator's human body. For this request:

(a) Work clothes that appear in the form of outerwear, jacket or overcoat, when worn, they should completely cover the outer clothing of the arms and the torso of the human body.

(b) The work clothes should be able to be directly connected to the operator's skin, or the clothes should contain a connection point for connecting the earth with a ground wire.

(c) The work cap or headscarf should be able to completely contain the operator's hair to prevent the human hair from contacting electrostatic sensitive components.

(d) There should be electrical continuity between all parts of the garment.

(e) Only in an environment where the relative temperature is greater than 50%, work clothes made of pure cotton are allowed.

6) Anti-static working shoes and socks

Wearing anti-static work shoes and socks is one of the important means to keep the human body from static electricity, especially when the use of a wrist strap may cause some danger, use shoes and socks (including leg exercises, toes and heel exercises) as a method of electrostatic grounding of the human body It is considered a basic consideration. At this time, the resistance value of the human body to the ground should be kept within the specified range (≥5×104Ω, ≤3.5×107Ω). The determination of this value comes from two considerations: human safety and rapid leakage of static charge.

7) Anti-static transportation trolley

When used to transport unprotected electrostatic third element components or as a movable working surface, it is required to have a grounding point for grounding through a wire.

8) Floor materials

(a) Generally, dissipative materials are used to make the ground, or an anti-static mat is laid on the ordinary ground and contacted effectively.

(b) It is forbidden to directly use wooden floors or to lay wool, hemp, chemical fiber carpets and ordinary floor leather.

(c) It is allowed to use specially treated terrazzo grounds, such as laying ground grids, carburizing or spraying antistatic agents on the ground.

9), ceiling and wall materials

Antistatic material products should be used first. Under normal circumstances, plaster paint or lime paint for walls is allowed, and ordinary paper and plastic wallpaper are forbidden.

10) Prohibited electrostatic charge materials or equipment

It is forbidden to use electrostatic charge source equipment. In the anti-static work area, no matter whether it is directly applied materials or raw materials used in products, it is forbidden to use charge source materials that are easy to generate static charges, and it is not allowed to use equipment that is easy to become static charge sources.
