Electrostatic treatment method of dust-free paper production paper surface

With the advent of winter, the air becomes dry, and the paper often sticks together due to static electricity on the surface, causing two or more sheets of paper to be sucked up by the feeder nozzle at the same time, causing the feeder to stop. Static electricity is caused by insufficient electrons (positive charge) or too many electrons (negative charge) on the surface of the substrate. In the process of dust-free paper processing and transportation, due to the dry environment, the paper has low water content and is prone to static electricity. In principle, an environment with a relative humidity of 40-42% is more suitable for paper storage.

Solution:

1. The moisture content of the paper should be controlled between 45-55%, so that static electricity will weaken and disappear as the moisture content increases.

2. Air conditioning should be installed in the printing workshop, and the relative humidity should be controlled at 50-55%. It is worth noting that in the cold season, the air humidity will drop sharply due to the heating of the air conditioning in the heated plant.

3. Anti-static equipment such as static rods and static fans can effectively weaken the power of static electricity; humidification equipment can improve the conductivity of the air, thereby preventing electrons from accumulating on paper.
