Three ways to eliminate static electricity

Static electricity is a natural phenomenon that cannot be avoided, so how to eliminate static electricity is what we care about. We all know that matter is composed of molecules, which are composed of atoms, negatively charged electrons and positively charged protons in the atom. Static electricity is generated when the positive and negative balance inside the material collapses and the bias toward one of the unstable states.

Therefore, three static elimination modes are generated: leakage, dissipation, and neutralization.

(1) Leakage is a way to introduce static electricity into the earth by some means. For example, the anti-static shoes we wear are based on the principle of leaking anti-static. Static electricity passes through the human body and then leaks to the earth through anti-static shoes. Generally we wear shoes. All are insulators, but anti-static shoes are electrically conductive;

(2) Dissipation is the diffusion of static electricity generated per unit area into a large area, so that the unit electric quantity becomes small, and the amount of electricity at this time can be almost ignored. Common anti-static clothing is to dissipate static electricity through this principle. Anti-static clothing dissipates static electricity through conductive wires. Therefore, the anti-static effect of mesh anti-static clothing is better than that of striped anti-static clothing. The reason for this is here.

(3) The insulator is easy to generate static electricity. The above method is not effective for eliminating static electricity from the insulator. It can only be neutralized by ions. The ion wind gun and ion fan are the principle. When the ion fan senses which ion in the human body. A long time, a corresponding amount of ions is blown to achieve neutralization.

The above are the three common modes of eliminating static electricity. The consequences of electrostatic hazards are often serious. We must pay attention to and reduce unnecessary losses.
