Equipment and management precautions in the EPA electrostatic protection area
In order to control and eliminate static electricity, some developed countries in Europe and the United States have formulated some national, military and enterprise-related static electricity standards or regulations. There are corresponding regulations on the design and manufacture, procurement, inspection, warehousing, warehousing, assembly, commissioning, semi-finished and finished products, and transportation of electrostatic sensitive components. There are also strict rules and regulations for the manufacture, use and management of electrostatic protective equipment. Require.
The following briefly describes the equipment and management precautions in the EPA electrostatic protection area:
1. Static safety workbench: It is composed of workbench, anti-static table mat, wrist strap connector and grounding wire.

2. It is not allowed to pile up plastic boxes, rubber, cardboard, glass and other sundries that are prone to static electricity on the electrostatic safety workbench. Drawings and materials should be placed in anti-static file bags.
3. The anti-static workbench should be equipped with more than two wrist strap connectors, one for operators and one for technicians and inspectors.
4. Anti-static wrist strap: People who are in direct contact with electrostatic sensitive devices must wear an anti-static wrist strap. The anti-static wrist strap should have good contact with human skin, and the resistance value of the wrist strap system to the ground should be 1MΩ.
5. Personnel entering the work area must wear anti-static work shoes. Personnel wearing normal shoes should use conductive shoe harnesses, anti-static shoe covers, or heel straps.
6. Anti-static work clothes: People who enter the static work area and those who touch SMD components must wear anti-static work clothes, especially in a dry environment with a relative humidity of less than 50% (such as winter). The fabric of the work clothes should meet the relevant national standards.
7. Anti-static container: Component storage bags, turnover boxes, PCB loading and unloading racks, etc. in the production site should have electrostatic protection. Metal and ordinary containers are not allowed, and all containers must be grounded.
8. The conveyor belt and transmission shaft used in the production line should be equipped with anti-static grounding brushes and poles.
9. An ion wind static eliminator can be used on the surface of the conveyor belt.
10. The assembly jigs, testing jigs, welding tools, and various instruments used in the production site should have a good grounding wire.
11. An anti-static test bench should be installed at the entrance of the production site. Every person entering the production site should undergo an anti-static test, and can only enter the site after passing the test.
