Evaluation method for clean room clothing

The human body is the biggest source of pollution in the clean room. A qualified clean room garment (hereinafter referred to as the clean clothes) plays a vital role in maintaining the clean room environment. Therefore, the evaluation method of the clean clothes is studied, and the production, design and selection of the clean clothes are carried out. Buying and guiding is of great significance.

Regardless of the clean room in which the clean room is applied, there must be four basic elements: clean performance, electrostatic performance, durability and comfort. Table 1 is the explanation and function of these four elements.

Clean performance

To evaluate the clean performance of clean clothes, it is necessary to start from the two aspects of dust-free and dust-free, and it is not appropriate to equate dust-free with clean.

Dust free

Dust-free means that the clothing itself does not dust, which requires clean clothes to choose non-dusting fabrics and accessories during production and design, and reduce the possibility of dust and dust in the clothing in cutting, sewing and style design. Sex. With simple tools, you can judge whether the clean clothes have dust-free performance from the following aspects:

● Observe whether the fabric is woven with filament fiber through a microscope

Since natural fibers such as cotton and hemp are short fibers, particulate matter is easily generated at the end of the fiber, and therefore cannot be used in a clean room. Therefore, clean clothes must be woven using chemically synthesized filament fibers. Moreover, since the regenerated slice-spun fiber contains a certain proportion of recycled material, which contains a large amount of impurities, it will increase the dust generation of the fabric, and therefore cannot be used in a clean room. It can be easily resolved by microscope or high magnification magnifier:

● Observing through the microscope whether the antistatic fiber added to the fabric will become a source of dust

Clean clothing must use anti-static fibers, and the selection of incorrect anti-static fibers may cause pollution. At present, there are two kinds of antistatic fibers - surface carburized antistatic fibers and composite spun antistatic fibers. The surface carburized antistatic fiber is coated on the surface of the substrate because of its conductive component, and is easily peeled off by washing and rubbing, thereby increasing the amount of dust generated by the fabric, and cannot be used in a clean room environment. The composite spun type antistatic fiber is obtained by thoroughly mixing the conductive component with the molten matrix material, and then forming a fiber into the fiber through the special spinning hole and the matrix material, so that the abrasion resistance is washable and the dust is not easily generated.

Observed by the microscope, if the surface of the antistatic fiber is rough and has a light transmission point, and it can be judged as a surface carburized antistatic fiber, it cannot be used for making a clean clothes.
